Thanks to Fat ‘n Forty for bringing this to my attention! I watched the trailer and it looks like a compelling take on body image — except for one big, fat glaring oversight: there are no women of color featured in any of the interviews. That’s quite a shame and I hope the final documentary is more diverse and inclusive.

Thanks for reblogging! This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed a kickstarter documentary on size acceptance and fat shaming that seems to only focus on white women, and mostly younger ones at that (I think there is one older woman in the video). In this case, the fact that she lives in Australia (92% white) may have a lot to do with it.
Very cool! I saw something similar on FB recently. Not a video, but a photo book. Sorry I don’t remember the details and can’t find the info. It’s nice to see there seems to be a movement for women to accept themselves as they are and not buy into the media’s ideal woman.
